Average control system and Finsler geometry

چکیده
This talk will define an ”average control system” for system that have a conservative drift and a very small control. The prototype is low thrust orbital transfer of earth sattelites. Using averaging to treat small perturbations of integrable systems is not new; the originality here is that averaging can be performed before the variations of the control are decided, thus yielding really an ”average control system”. Under some rank assumtions, that are satisfied in the case of low thrust transfer, the new control system defines a norm in each tangent subspace. It is not in general twice differentiable, so that the term ”finsler geometry” is not quite appropriate, but we shall present preliminary results.

Geometric Modeling of Dubins Airplane Movement and its Metric
The time-optimal trajectory for an airplane from some starting point to some final point is studied by many authors. Here, we consider the extension of robot planer motion of Dubins model in three dimensional spaces. In this model, the system has independent bounded control over both the altitude velocity and the turning rate of airplane movement in a non-obstacle space. Here, in this paper a g...
متن کاملRelative volume comparison theorems in Finsler geometry and their applications
We establish some relative volume comparison theorems for extremal volume forms of Finsler manifolds under suitable curvature bounds. As their applications, we obtain some results on curvature and topology of Finsler manifolds. Our results remove the usual assumption on S-curvature that is needed in the literature.
متن کاملA Pseudo-group Isomorphism between Control Systems and Certain Generalized Finsler Structures
The equivalence problem for control systems under non-linear feedback is recast as a problem involving the determination of the invariants of submanifolds in the tangent bundle of state space under fiber preserving transformations. This leads to a fiber geometry described by the invariants of submanifolds under the general linear group, which is the classical subject of centro-affine geometry. ...

Following an introduction to control theory, we show how Finsler geometries occur in certain classes of control systems.
متن کاملOn the k-nullity foliations in Finsler geometry
Here, a Finsler manifold $(M,F)$ is considered with corresponding curvature tensor, regarded as $2$-forms on the bundle of non-zero tangent vectors. Certain subspaces of the tangent spaces of $M$ determined by the curvature are introduced and called $k$-nullity foliations of the curvature operator. It is shown that if the dimension of foliation is constant, then the distribution is involutive...
